This region is dotted with charming villages, farm castles and picturesque towns. Huy, one of the oldest and most authentic cities in Belgium, is just half an hour away. Be sure to visit Fort van Huy and the Grote Markt, and round off the day with a drink on a sunny terrace. The 17th century Kasteel van Modave (special heritage of Wallonia) is also fun to visit. Een mooi kasteel. Een goede ligging . Hygiëne kon beter.Er was wel een trouwfeest in het kasteel daardoor veel lawaai gehad.

Wij hadden een fantastisch verblijf in het kasteel. De leefruimtes zijn groot, ideaal voor spelende kinderen en een grote hond. Elke slaapkamer heeft een badkamer, fijn voor wat privacy. De privétuin was goed verzorgd en onze greyhound kon er rustig rondlopen. Rond het kasteel kan je mooie wandelingen maken, soms zijn er ook evenementen aan de gang. Kortom, wij zijn helemaal verkocht en komen zeker terug !

De kamers zijn voldoende groot en het is fijn dat ieder een eigen badkamer heeft en toilet. De keuken / uitrusting is aan vernieuwing toe. Een extra koelkast zou geen overbodige luxe zijn voor de 8 personen die er kunnen logeren. Het bereik van de wifi was niet optimaal.

Séjour dans un lieu atypique (une des ailes du Château de Waleffe) au sein d'un cadre magnifique!. Les espaces sont très grands (4 grandes chambres, salon/salle à manger spacieux) et bien adaptés pour 8 personnes. Le jardin est très agréable. Le gite aurait cependant besoin d'être rafraichi (peintures, nouvelle cuisine...).

Fijn charmant vakantiehuis ( onderdeel van het kasteel) . Jammer dat wifi wisselend was, waterdruk van de douches laag was, matrassen niet zo goed waren. We hebben desalniettemin een heerlijke week gehad in dit charmante huis, met twee ruime eettafels, ruime slaapkamers en prachtig wandelgebied eromheen.

Mooi kader, oud maar het is nu eenmaal een oud kasteel met veel charme. De matrassen zijn echt veel te hard. In de keuken is alles aanwezig maar het wat rommelig.
