Our personal favourite? The ‘Kota’, a cosy, hexagonal log cabin with Finnish roots. Shepherds used to use them for shelter and as a place to eat. And now it’s your turn! You even have a gazebo with a built-in fire pit and BBQ grill, everything you need for an extraordinary evening and a heaping helping of Scandinavian cheer!
Enjoy this prime location here in the province of Luxemburg! Indeed, this holiday home is located in the region around Marche-en-Famenne, near Rochefort and Hotton. Fancy a nice outing? You should definitely plan a visit to the Atrium microbrewery, right in the centre of Marche-en-Famenne, or the Minne Brewery in Somme-Leuze. If you are in Somme-Leuze, you can enjoy a picnic on the ‘beach’ at Noiseux along the banks of the Ourthe; and after that, take a trip to the spectacular Hotton caves and the underground river.

Wij hebben tijdens de herfstvakantie in 2025 een heerlijk lang weekend in dit charmante huis in Hargimont gehad. De informatie voorziening vanuit de verhuurders is uitstekend, het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien en zeer prettig en comfortabel ingericht. De faciliteiten zijn meer dan prima, met een frisse en schone eerste indruk. Het huis is gemakkelijk te vinden, ligt op een steenworp afstand van allerlei mooie wandelroutes en bezienswaardigheden en heeft parkeergelegenheid voor de deur.

Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet, auch wenn in der Küche nicht alles vorhanden ist. Das Wohnzimmer ist gemütlich durch den Blick auf den Pelletofen, die Waschmaschine ist ausgezeichnet und wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Leider sind alle Informationen im Haus (auch für die Bedienung des Ofens!) nur in Französisch und Niederländisch vorhanden.

Heel fijn vakantiehuis met alles wat je nodig hebt. Het was schoon, goed verzorgd en mooi opgeknapt. Ook een fijne afgeschermde tuin waar je nog even kon genieten van de avondzon. De doorgangen zijn wel vrij laag, maar daar is weinig aan te doen.

Mooi en proper huisje. heel leuk dat de eigenaar enkele streekbieren in de ijskast had klaargezet. Ook erg leuk is de kota in de tuin, hebben we goed kunnen gebruiken met het slechte weer. Paar minpuntjes, de deuren boven zijn erg laag, ik heb er mijn hoofd tot bloedens toe gestopt. Ander minpunt is de erg kleine bedden, terwijl er plaats is om grotere te zetten. Laatste minpunt was dat er toch veel lawaai is van buiten, zowel drukke baan als dat er iedere nacht geblaf en honden gehuil was

verblijf 20-12 t.e.m. 27-12 : de woning is een topper : mooie kerstversiering en lekkere welkomstgeschenken, alles is in voorraad en het is er heerlijk warm te houden. wij genoten van de wandelingen in de bossen (na ritje met de auto ). Een aanrader !

Wat een onverwachte parel. Een koele woning, een koelkast met verrassing, schoon en netjes. De afgeschermde tuin was ideaal voor onze hond. Heerlijk gegeten in de Kota. Prachtig uitzicht vanuit de woonkamer en buiten op het terras. Woning lag op een centrale plek en voelde snel als thuis!

We stayed four nights at this property. The owner was very helpful and pleasant. Very well kept and very clean inside. We found everything we needed was available I terms of facilities in the kitchen and bathroom area. Outside areas are private with a built in BBQ and seating area. It is located off a main road with good parking and close to the main town where there is everything you need in terms of shopping. We found some good local walking as well. Overall a good property.

We zijn zeer hartelijk ontvangen door de eigenaar (Freddy) die ons over alles in en rondom het huis heeft geïnformeerd. Het huis is zeer netjes gerenoveerd, enige waar je rekening mee moet houden is dat sommige deurdoorgangen wat lager zijn (huis is origineel van rond 1900). Ikzelf ben 1,80m en moest af en toe bukken. Bij het huis zit een Kota waar lekker kan steengrillen of kaasfonduren (dus geen stank in huis).

Mooi, schoon en goed uitgerust huisje. Jammer was dat de palletkachel na enige tijd uitviel. De aanwezige gebruiksaanwijzing kwam niet overeen met het type kachel dat aanwezig was. Gelukkig was er een airco. Die heeft dag en nacht moeten draaien om de benedenverdieping enigzins warm te houden. De temperaturen waren rond het vriespunt, vandaar. In de keuken was in het geheel geen verwarming aanwezig. Het huis is ook laag. Mijn man is 2.05 lang, dus dat was wel een probleem.

Wir fanden das Haus wohlig warm und österlich geschmückt vor, was uns sehr gefreut hat. In der Gartenhäuser haben wir bei Raclette einen schönen Abend. Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter war sehr angenehm. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Es war nur zu kurz.

Eigenaars waren niet aanwezig bij aankomst (vooraf wel verwittigd via mail) maar alles was uitstekend geregeld. Pelletkachel brande, alles heel proper,kleine attentie in de frigo, Nederlandse uitleg over het gebruik van de woning. Aangename mooie woning om je vakantie door te brengen.

We werden heel vriendelijk ontvangen door Freddy Alles werd duidelijk uitgelegd met z'n Ardeense charme. Vooral de KOTA was een heel leuke ervaring met toegevoegde waarde.
