This 3-star, semi-detached holiday home is located in the province of Liège near Marchin, in a tranquil setting on the edge of a village. The owners live in the house next door. It consists of two comfortable bedrooms (plus a double sofa bed) and one bathroom. A baby bed, highchair, and changing mat are also available. The comfortable living room is equipped with a TV and a Bluetooth speaker/docking station to help you relax, before sitting down to dinner in the dining room, heated by a pellet stove, which adjoins the well-equipped open-plan kitchen that’s equipped with a 4-ring ceramic hob, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer combo, dishwasher, filter coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, juicer, raclette maker, and blender. There is also a washing machine, iron and ironing board, and a vacuum cleaner.
The garden and the patio, with a BBQ grill, have stunning views over the surrounding countryside. Plus, your faithful pet is also welcome! There is private parking for two cars.
The holiday home is close to the impressive city of Huy, famous for its Roman history and imposing fort. It is also a remarkable place of remembrance with its Museum of the Resistance and Concentration Camps. The striking Collégiale Notre-Dame and its fabulous treasury is a must-visit, as is the magnificent Grand Place. Huy is also known for its endless ‘wall’, dreaded by even the most seasoned cyclists.
You can also travel back in time to the Middle Ages on a visit to the elegant Modave Castle. Located on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Houyoux Valley, it offers an exceptional view of the surrounding 450-hectare nature reserve, which has plenty of signposted walks to enjoy. Heel fijn huis dat netjes onderhouden is, mooi modern ingericht. Het is rustig gelegen en heeft een mooi uitzicht vooraan. We verbleven er een week met een jong kindje dat het ook geweldig vond. De eigenaars zijn heel vriendelijk en gastvrij en hadden zelfs een leuke schattenjacht gemaakt! Hele mooie rustige omgeving. Echt een aanrader!

Magnifique région. Gîte sain. Calme. Propriétaires sympas et discrets. Point désagréable : la mauvaise qualité du lit et des fauteuils. C'est la deuxième fois via Ardennes-étape, je trouve qu'il serait bon qu'Ardennes-étape en face un critère. Étant donné ce point essentiel pour moi, j'aurais mis moins que 7,8/10 (note attribuée par Ardennes-étape sur base de mes réponses à un questionnaire d'évaluation). Je n'ai pas envie de payer un logement de vacances pour avoir mal en fin de séjour...

Wij hebben een heel fijne week gehad in het huisje. Heel vriendelijke en warme ontvangst van Anne en Xavier. Zij stonden ook direct klaar bij eventuele vragen of als er iets was. Mooi uitzicht over de vallei en mooie uitvalsbasis voor wandelingen. Zeker en vast een aanrader.
