Birds chirping happily, bees buzzing quietly, cows grazing in the meadow… You won’t hear much more than nature in this beautiful farmhouse on the edge of the forest. Take a moment to feel completely alone in the world. Perfect for unwinding! Make the evening nice and cosy in front of the wood-burning stove or go outside to look at the stars cuddled up under a warm blanket. The various forests in the immediate vicinity are particularly beautiful and provide variety. So don’t forget your hiking boots and/or mountain bike!
This holiday home is located in a somewhat lesser-known region close to the French border that is well worth exploring. You’ll be staying about 15 minutes from Chimay, which is perfect to go visit Chimay Expérience: first discover how the delicious Chimay cheeses and beers are made, then enjoy a delicious tasting session of Chimay on tap. After just half an hour, you’re already at the l’Eau d’Heure Lakes. Diving, sailing, jet skiing… The lakes are the perfect place for those who like an active holiday. For a fun walk with the kids?–?including a picnic?–?we recommend the Ry de Rome walk in Couvin. A favourite of Ardennes-Etape parents.

Wij verbleven er met ons gezin. Wij hebben een fantastische vakantie gehad. Als je rust wil, dan zit je hier goed. De eigenaren zijn zeer vriendelijk. Het huisje was top. Er is maar 1 toilet, deze bevind zich op de eerste verdieping. Wij hebben geen last gehad van vliegen. Voor lange mensen, rekening houden met traplopen. Je moet namelijk bukken anders stoot je je hoofd. Fijn fris en leuk huisje.

Fijn huisje in een hele rustige omgeving met alleen de koeien als buren en Frankrijk als achtertuin. Comfortabel met alle keukenapparaten, de wasmachine, blokken hout voor de kachel en een bbq met kolen. Enige nadeel was de vele vliegen door de landelijke omgeving en geen hordeur. Verder was er weinig waterdruk waardoor de kraan en douchen minder prettig was. Dat mocht echter de pret niet drukken met de vele bossen om je heen voor wandelingen.

In principe prima huisje op een heerlijke locatie. Het is erg afgelegen daar moet je van houden. Wij hebben genoten van de rust. Aantal punten van verbetering is een hor plaatsen voor elk raam zodat alles open kan en niet maar 1 raam per kamer. Er zijn namelijk zeer veel vliegen. Beter schoonmaken. Er was veel stof onder de bedden en een hoop spinnen en stofdraden. Gezelliger licht voor in de woonkamer. Waterdruk is slecht. Eigenaar spreekt geen Nederlands of Engels.

De eigenaresse is erg verbaasd over de opmerking over het schoonmaken van haar vakantiehuis, omdat ze er een punt van maakt om het altijd brandschoon te houden, dus ze maakt bezwaar tegen dit punt. Ze ziet ook niet hoe het licht in de woonkamer, die al erg comfortabel is, verbeterd zou kunnen worden.

Super vrij uitzicht, genieten van de stilte en prachtige zonsondergangen, heerlijk kokerrellen in een goeie keuken en gezellig eten in de tuin. Voor vertier of bezienswaardigheid moet je ff in de auto stappen. Prettige en vriendelijke verhuurder, toppie!

Prima vakantiehuisje in een zeer rustige omgeving. Het huisje heeft een ruime woonkamer. Vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaren. Een probleem met een deur was snel opgelost. Punt van aandacht was een kat die mee naar binnen wilde en de kattenpoep voor de deur.

Veel vliegen, zeer oude luide deuren met een gevaarlijke trap. Niet aan te raden met hele kleine kinderen. Je kan de verwarming niet zelf aanpassen
