Located a few hundred metres from the famous Abbey (now listed as a historical building), the house was developed in the Abbey’s former forges. The owners have taken care to preserve the building’s authentic character (walls capped with lime, solid wood floors, old doors, etc.) while offering modern comfort and a refined ambience. This is the perfect holiday home for families that want to spend a weekend away at a unique location.
Your holiday home has five bedrooms and three bathrooms. The bedrooms are all decorated in keeping with the authentic ambience of the place. The spacious and modern kitchen is ideal for preparing delicious meals for the whole family. You’ll enjoy the living room with its open hearth, as well as the dining room, which will bring to mind meals of the past shared by guests in centuries gone by.
The green setting surrounding the patio and the garden of your holiday home will make you fall in love with this region of the Ardennes. Fantastisch mooie woning en ligging. Zeer behulpzame mensen . We kregen zelfs een rondleiding in de oude smidse. Leuk was ook de weide voor het huis waar twee paarden en een ezel stonden. De keuken is zeer goed uitgerust met alles erop en eraan. We hebben een heerlijke week gehad met zwaluwen boven onze hoofden die in Vlaanderen helaas op nog weinige plekken te vinden zijn. Een aanrader dit huis.

Bijzondere erfgoed-woning, heerlijk uitzicht, ruim binnen én buiten, goed geëquipeerde keuken, prima ligging voor wandelingen in de Gaume en aan de Semois. Voor ons mocht het huis wel grondiger gepoetst worden...

Nous avons passé un long week-end en famille pour fêter les 80 ans de notre maman. La maison qui fait partie du patrimoine historique de la région est magnifique, très confortable et se situe dans un écrin de verdure! Pour les amoureux de la nature...c'est le paradis. Il y a beaucoup de documentation a disposition ce qui tombe à pic pour identifier les oiseaux et organiser des visites et balades. Les propriétaires sont accueillants et discrets. Nous recommandons sans hésitation!

Dit vakantiehuis was een zeer prettig verblijf. De keuken is goed uitgerust qua borden en bestek. Gezellige woonkamer. De matrassen waren aan de harde kant, dit viel niet bij iedereen in de smaak. De gordijnen laten wellicht iets te veel licht naar binnen, waardoor de (jonge) kinderen vroeg wakker waren. Als tip wellicht een duidelijkere aanwijzing langs de kant van de weg qua huisnummering en/of melden dat het houten hek op privéterrein door de gasten open gemaakt mag worden.

Fijn ontvangst en contact met de eigenaar! Het is een goed vakantiehuis met voldoende ruimtes en materiaal aanwezig. Mooie en rustige tuin & verschillende wandelroutes in de buurt. Buiten de nesten lieveheersbeestjes aan de ramen, alleen maar pluspunten!

Maison spacieuse, lumineuse, très bien chauffée, meublée et équipée : il n'y manque rien ! Région idéale pour les promenades, pour la découverte de l'abbaye d'Orval, de Montmédy et d'Avioth. Proche de Florenville et de ses commerces. Région calme et boisée. Accueil chaleureux des propriétaires, sapin et décorations de Noël pour créer une ambiance de fête. Nous avons été ravis et projetons de retourner dans ce gîte qui correspond à toutes nos attentes. Merci aux propriétaires !

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour entre amis dans cette magnifique propriété. La maison est spacieuse, lumineuse et très bien équipée. Magnifique vue dégagée sur la campagne environnante. Belles promenades dans les environs et à proximité immédiate de l'Abbaye d'Orval. Nous allons en gîte depuis des années, et celui-ci est une de nos plus belles découvertes. Merci aux propriétaires de nous permettre de profiter de cette demeure de caractère.

Un superbe gîte où on se sent vraiment bien. Idéal pour les séjours en famille. Gros coup de cœur pour ce magnifique espace salon où chacun est confortablement installé. Chaque matin, chacun est descendu en disant qu'il avait très bien dormi ! Nous sommes déjà venus plusieurs fois et nous reviendrons encore.

We hadden een fantastisch familieweekend! De ontvangst was hartelijk (incl enkele plaatselijke producten om te proeven) en al het nodige was aanwezig. De ligging is ideaal om zonder wagen op wandeling te vertrekken, dicht bij de abdij van Orval. Een aanrader!
