This 3-star holiday home is the ideal place to relax. Our favourite? The beautiful, sun-drenched garden with spacious terrace, cosy sitting area and swing. The ideal place for an extensive aperitif in the sun or for a cosy (winter) barbecue. If you prefer to take some time for yourself, we recommend you read your favourite book close to the fire or, if the weather is nice, on a sun lounger in the garden. Perhaps the best remedy for stress.
You will be staying in the province of Hainaut, a few kilometres from the French border and the town of Chimay. Even closer, you will find the Lakes of l’Eau d’Heure: these are a must visit. Diving, sailing, jet skiing, etc. The lakes are the ideal place for those who enjoy an active holiday. You can also visit the largest dam in Belgium. Our personal favourite in the area? A brisk walk in the Fondry des Chiens nature reserve. A spectacular place with beautiful landscapes. For a nice walk with the kids – including picnic – we recommend you go to Couvin for a walk. A favourite of Ardennes-Etape parents.
In short: a holiday with the whole family here is the ideal way to recharge your batteries all year round.

We had a great time. The hostess Heloïse was very helpful, fast to react to any questions, great communication. She welcomed us with fresh flowers in vases, eggs from her farm and local beer. The house is spacious and very clean, nicely decorated. It is ideally located with no neighbours around but within walking distance to the village. The kitchen is super equipped, we had everything we needed. A lovely garden and views from each window are a bonus. We definitely recommend it! Merci, Heloïse!

Heel mooi, verzorgd en proper vakantiehuis. Alle nodige comfort is aanwezig. Heel gericht op vakantie met kleine kinderen. De eigenares is een heel sympathieke mevrouw. Wat me opvalt doorheen de Ardennen is het slechte wegdek en gebrek aan voetpaden/fietspaden. Vooral op landweggetjes kan het heel gevaarlijk wandelen zijn. De laars van Henegouwen is een prachtige streek.

Zeer groot, goed onderhouden woning met tuin. keuken is goed voorzien en extra koelkast in de berging. We werden hartelijk ontvangen door de gastvrouw en er stond ook nog een drankje en fruitmand klaar. De bedden kunnen misschien wel wat beter, buiten zou wat extra schaduw in de zomermaanden welkom zijn. Ook is er de tuin niet volledig omheind voor de hond. Een TOP adres en gastvrouw , zeker om nog eens terug te komen.

Wij vonden het een heel aangenaam huis inclusief tuin. De ontvangst door de eigenaar was bijzonder hartelijk. Er waren ook lekkere attenties en eitjes en vers fruit. Het huis is ook heel ruim. We hebben van het verblijf genoten. De ruime tuin was ook heel fijn voor de kleinkinderen.

Petit week-end entre amis et enfants dans un gîte très accueillant, idéalement situé : à proximité des Lacs de l'Eau d'heure et des diverses activités du site. Un accueil parfait par la propriétaire qui s'est rendue disponible tout au long de notre bref séjour. Le gîte à répondu à toutes nos attentes : calme, isolé, ... Zeer goede en vriendelijke ontvangst met een kleine attentie. Het huisje was zeer mooi gelegen en was goed uitgerust. Laat uitcheckuur is zeker een plus zodat het vertrek op het gemak kan worden ingepland. Gezellig wandelen in de buurt.

Maison propre, spacieuse et fonctionnelle, avec un très beau jardin et accueil très sympathique. Nous avons vraiment apprécié découvrir ce coin de Belgique qui s’est révélé magnifique et plein d’activités. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour.

Een prachtige woning met ruime slaapkamers. Enige tip zou zijn om een hek te plaatsen bij de oprit, dan is het nog veiliger voor kinderen. Verder super tevreden. Hele fijne ontvangst met een verrassing en halverwege de week kregen we groente uit eigen tuin. Wij zijn zeer tevreden en enthousiast!!

Très chouette maison spacieuse, avec 4 belles grandes chambres. Tout le confort necessaire pour se sentir comme chez-soi. Beau jardin bien entretenu avec vue sur les prairies, un réel bonheur dès le matin ! Nous y avons séjourné en famille avec deux bébés. Nous ne pouvons que recommander cet endroit. Aangenaam verblijf, heel mooie tuin met verse kruiden. Mooi uitzicht naar velden vanuit het huis. Alles voor de kindjes. Schommel, speelkamer, zorgtafel, bedje, zelfs twee kinderstoelen. Eentje van Ikea met tafelblad en een groter stoel voor een peuter ook met tafelblad. Alles was dus aanwezig. Wij vonden het een grote en goed uitgeruste keuken. Mixer, croque, gourmet, en alle andere standaard gerei was aanwezig. Alleen een goede snijplank ontbrak. Heel ruime koelkast en vrijstaande grote diepvries. Ook grote kamers, 1 badkamer met een klein bad. Wel een heel ruim douche. Zeker en vast aangename eigenaars. Verwelkomt met verse eitjes van eigen kippen en streek bier Chimay. Mevrouw was beschikbaar voor opmerkingen of problemen en stipt bij aankomst en vertrek. Minpuntjes vond ik dat er geen echte wandelwegen zijn vertrekkende vanuit het huis. Je zit echt op asfaltwegen te wandelen en wordt vaak voorbij gestoken door autos. Het is wel een beetje afgelegen maar alles is eigenlijk vlakbij. Je moet je al eerder verplaatsen om bosgebieden te zien. Vonden wij minder met een baby dat om de 3-4u moet eten om dan alles in te pakken en rond te rijden. Het huis zelf is een beetje verouderd. Hier en daar zie je onafgewerkte delen of dingen dat men zou moeten opknappen. Eén van de slaapkamers had ook een onaangename geur door leiding van de badkamer. Wel een goede plus punt was dat er een wasmachine was. Wel een beetje verouderd dus wij moesten zoeken hoe die juist werkte maar zeker handig als je kinderen hebt. Verder is dit verblijf wat je er zelf van maakt. Met goede gezelschap is dit zeker geen slecht verblijf. Met een beetje goed weer kun je zeker genieten van de prachtige tuin met een bbq. Op en top. Ik zou wel terugkomen. ?

Het vakantiehuis voldeed volledig aan de omschrijving. Het ontvangst was super hartelijk en de omgeving had veel mogelijkheden om te wandelen of te fietsen. Supermarkt was op 10 minuutjes wandelafstand dus ook zeer praktisch.

We zijn met twee gezinnen in dit huis verbleven. We hadden pubers en hele kleine kinderen bij, en het huis was hier helemaal perfect voor. Zeer ruime en schone kamers, echt alles aanwezig. Huisje was in kerstsfeer erg gezellig! dekens, palletkachel, speelkamer, en een heerlijke bank. Eigenaar is zeer vriendelijk en er stond bier en champagne (en! Kinderchampagne) klaar vanwege de jaarwisseling. Erg attent! Het huis heeft een hele rustige ligging, met een grote tuin om te voetballen of schommelen
